Introduction

Grace Highness is an artist with a lifelong passion for painting, drawing, and sculpting. Thanks to her mother’s art supply addiction, she has been immersed in the world of art since a young age.

Her professional creative journey began in North Carolina in 2020 when she established her painting business, Ain’t a Better Way to Paint. Since then, Grace has traveled across the country, teaching beginner painting classes and spreading joy through her artistic medium. With each new location, from Devil’s Tower, Wyoming, to Athens, Georgia, she has met wonderful individuals who share her love for art. Grace is excited to continue her artistic journey, connecting with others and inspiring them to explore their creativity.

Experience

With over 5 years of experience in oil painting and more than 10 years of experience in acrylics and watercolors, Grace has developed a diverse skill set. She specializes in capturing landscapes using Winsor & Newton oils, drawn to their rich pigments and their ability to spread across the canvas smoothly. Alongside landscapes, Grace has also created captivating portraits of both people and pets.

While she predominantly used oils during her time on college campuses, taking advantage of well-lit, pre-painted art studios, she has recently shifted to acrylics for the convenience of painting in her home without concerns about floor staining.

Sharing her love for painting is a deep passion for Grace, which led her to establish her own traveling painting business. Through this venture, she sets up shop in various locations, teaching 2-hour live classes and fostering a sense of joy and accomplishment among her beginner students.

Education

Grace’s artistic journey has been largely self-guided, driven by her innate curiosity and determination. She has dedicated years to exploring and refining her skills in painting, drawing, and sculpture, experimenting with different mediums and techniques. While she doesn’t possess a formal degree in fine arts, Grace’s enthusiasm for art and her commitment to teaching have allowed her to excel in her craft and establish meaningful connections with fellow art enthusiasts.
